njRAT is one of the most widespread malware families; it has been around since at least 2013.
The malware employs dynamic DNS for command-and-control (C&C), a unique TCP protocol over a customizable port for communication, and the built-in.NET Framework to give attackers remote control over the compromised PCs.
The new malware type, known as njRAT Lime Edition, can log keystrokes, propagate via USB drives, steal passwords, lock the screen, and support ransomware infections as well as Bitcoin grabbers and distributed denial of service attacks.
